It is amazing that we put actual lemon in our cleaning products and artificial lemon in our lemonade. The reason it is used in cleaning products are for the amazing anti viral and anti bacterial qualities that it may contain. Adding a citrus note to any blend can help to balance out the scents and add additional qualities to the blend you are making.

Lemon Essential Oil Precautions

As with all citrus oils if used topically you want to avoid exposure to direct sunlight due to the photo sensitizing nature. If using in a bath do not use more than 6 drops total of any citrus oils due to potential sensitive nature of various body areas. Due possible stimulation of white blood cells, it is best to avoid if a person has any issues where white blood cell production would want to be minimized.
